Which is very different to how the Maori party sees things.

And you're right about the inflated land prices, that's why it's so essential for them to keep immigration artificially high and give non-permanent residents the ability to buy as many properties as they want, including investments.

Net immigration went into negative figures during March, a few more months of that, combined with increasing unemployment and rising interest rates and hell *will* start to break loose.Emigratetonewzealandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14133900920840855879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-829612767144244694.post-15371065391647930942010-04-24T19:10:19.326+12:002010-04-24T19:10:19.326+12:00The global impression of New Zealand's human r...The global impression of New Zealand's human rights stance has been that it is a progressive nation. Some of this impression was formed by New Zealand's efforts to create the image with a great deal of committee work at the UN, and very heavy global publicization of a few relatively ineffectual actions of the "loud toothless stunt" sort that nonetheless led to global assumptions being made about New Zealand's committment to human rights.

In truth, they talk a big talk, but the walk is unimpressive, to say the least. There is no way New Zealand would permit that much of its valuable land to fall under Maori control, because make no mistake, their entire economy is based on inflated land prices. I am sure they will offer the Maori some meaningless sop and keep putting them off as far as their more substantial claims. That's the Kiwi Way. Ignore. Avoid. Dodge. And the problem will give up and go away eventually until all hell breaks loose. Then look for someone to blame.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
