I looked up reasons not to move to New Zealand...Hi,<br />I looked up reasons not to move to New Zealand a little too late. Having been here for the last three months I've come to realize a few things. I'm trying to be honest with my observations and these are just MY opionions: 1 - the scenery is beautiful but it can start to look the same 2 - It rains more than you would imagine (at least on the northisland) and its cooler here than you think it would be 3 - New Zealanders can be nice or rude (like people anywhere in the world) but they're always blunt 4 - Most of the racism I've seen come from the white kiwis, not the maoris 5 - White hick, sheep-loving, ignorant kiwis stole my ipod and fucked up my ute, NOT maoris 6 - kiwis can't spell worth a damn 7 - Whangarei (northisland) is the most un-dog friendly place I have ever been (which really sucks considering I spent a few 7 grand getting them here) 8 - Organic produce?? Only if you shop at the farmers market 9 - strange sense of national pride...protect the native bush at all costs but spray pesticides and chemical fertilizers over crops?? Guess who runs the (corporate) grocery stores? Not the farmers...... 10 - Hidden speeding cameras suck ass, and the speeding limits suck ass too. 50 kms in the city?! My grandma could run faster.. 11 - And finally the one last thing that makes living in New Zealand harder than it should be is...the...cost. Everything, and I mean everything costs more here. I believe it is even more expensive than living in Hawaii...and Hawaii is a very small island, also in the middle of nowhere.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
